what is the difference between fxd and fxdi and are the parts on each interchangeable???? thanks in advance

The difference between them is in the details. The basic components should be interchangable.

FXD is Carb model. FXDI is fuel injected. Other than the fuel sysem and a few other parts, all parts are the same.

The chrome coil cover won't work on both.... done made that mistake...

thats right one is carb other is injected.other differences must not be forgotten as the fxd is 05,fxdi is 06.meaning a lot of parts will not be interchangable because of all the changes made to the frame,gearbox,swing arm,oil pump,forks,axels etc
