Hey Sarge,
Did you takeit out for a ride first to compare the handling and feel of the bike or was it an impulse buy because the look of the bike sucked you in? I hope you don't regret your decision. Of course, now you can always go buy back your old ride and have one of each! Have fun and let us know how she rides. You will probably be our first evaluator of this new HD. Enjoy!
I went and took a look at one at Shelton's HD in Goldsboro yesterday. I thought it looked realy good. The only things that I didn't like about it was the plastic frame cover and the front wheel being smaller than the rear (although that is starting to grow on me).
Saw another member of this board (tattoofreaksb)at the Shelton's in Smithfield yesterday also when I went to check out the Rocker[:'(].
I ran into some guys at Bojangles last weekend while I was out riding. Turns out they were members of the Freedom Biker Church in Garner. They invited me to come check it out and I did this morning. It was really something. 300 bikers showed up this morning for church and it was a blast! They even have a rock band play during the sermon. Afterwards we all went for a ride. I just topped 100 miles today and no complaints so far. That John Deere looking seat is actually quite comfy.
I finally got to sit on one today. Seemed pretty nice, not too tall in the saddle. Sarge, I believe I have 'springer envy'. Man, I hate sleeping on the couch......
I got to sit on one today also. Couldnt believe my local dealer had one in stock. Not sure I could get used to the seat. Very nice machine though. Looks better in person. The salesman said last night they had one at our local bike night and it was a big hit. Everyone was checking it out. Again congrats on the bike.
They are really nice looking and I thought of buying one, but Trotter is gonna give me his next Christmas.[sm=smiley32.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=yeahsmile.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=pcwhack.gif]
Congratulations on the new ride. That's a bad *** bike. I was checking one out this weekend at Rossmeyers HD in Daytona, however I left with only a hat (girlfriend was with me, if she wasn't there I would have bought it). Thinking of getting one this summer after I pay my taxes. Would want to change out the rear fender and a smaller sprung seat.
god damn that's a nice looking bike.... i've always liked springers, myself.... was going to add a springer front end to my 'bob sometime in the future....still might, but that cross bones looks the illest.... i dig it the most
