I just traded off my 04 1200 and it was a strong running bike I dont care if you were running from 0-60 or 0-120 I would run off and leavealotof stock big twinsin the dirt , on the other hand I work with a guy who has a dyna superglide that he races and runs in the low 11's and guess what . he runs off and leaves me in the dust. the bottom line is there has never been a horse that couldnt be rode and never a rider that couldnt be throwed. how well do you ride? alot of racing is more the rider than engine displacement . do you two race every where you go? if it were me I would let her win then pout and try to use the guilt trip to get sympathy sex.

Thats funny, since she will be ahead at 60, if she wants she can be ahead at 110...
You think a sporty gets slow after 60?
ORIGINAL: fxdwgcanuck

the sporty will leave you in the dust off the starts but you will be able to run her down after 60mph so the question is do you want to be out front from the line

my girl friend just buy an 1200 nightster
and i worry about performance of the bike does she be able to follow me or i need to drop a more powerful engine on my bob!!
Grammar FTW.

Seriously, you own a CRUISER. Just enjoy it, and don't worry about dropping a more powerful engine ON your bob.

if she starts to pass you kick her bike over then you'll always be in front no more problems

Traded my 05 1200C for my 08 Fatbob. Had a little work done to my Sporty. It was plenty fast and I could keep up on any ride I went on with other bikes. I do enjoy the Bob's torque and it does seem to be smoother and a better ride at anything 70+. Should not be any issues. She will definately get you stoplight to stoplight.
