i was browsing ebay today and stubbled across a set of 2006 wdg triple trees (49mm) for a dam good price if anyone is interested in changing to a wdg front end. they are not mine so dont ask. jackyl
RE: 06 wdg (49mm) triple trees 4 sale on ebay, not mine, but great deal
I was thinking that as well. My understanding is that the WG had 41mm tubes in 07 and only went to 49mm for 08. Not to say they were not off an 08 but they just don't look much diff than a standard dyna to me.

WG went to thicker tubes with the rest of the Dynas in 06.
At the bottom of the listing someone asked the center-to-center width of the trees:
Q:
could you tell me the distance center to center of the holes for the fork legs and the length of the shaft. Thanks Jenni

A:
8-1/2" center to center for the forks and the shaft length is 8-3/4" Ted
Is that right? Shouldn't Wide Glide trees be about 10"?

I thought a WG was about 10" center to center, and about 12" from outside to outside - 8.5 does not seem correct.

Standard trees are 8.5". I just checked my FXD. Those are NOT wide glide trees.
