Here is an easy way to install. I removed the battery and routed the lead through the back of the battery box then around the back of the battery box to the left side when facing the battery box. I then reconnected the battery and slid it back into the battery box pulling the slack out the back.

The battery was too snug of a fit in mine to comfortably install it any other way.

It works great and the lead tucks in between the battery box and the rear plastic fender entension.

Did mine same way,, Only I tuck the leds between the batterybox and the seat...

I bought my bike used so the lead was already installed so I never looked to see how it was run from the battery. The pigtail end is zip tied to the passenger peg bracket on the right side of the bike. Makes it real easy to plug it in.

I keep the battery tender plugged in to the car. Havent had a need to plug the bike in yet.

Clutch, I'm with ya on this, but I only have 360 days of riding weather. gotta have some time to wash the bike and make upgrades.

I am going to do it the way you have. That seems like it will leave enough of the quick connect lead to run where I want it.

before the days of 3 phase charging systems the old charging systems were pretty lame, when my bikes are in for the night or inclement weather, the chargers are are plugged in. in fact, Deka, the battery manufacturer recommends a float charger on their AGM batteries, I believe they make HD's AGM batteries.the pigtails on my bikesare sticking out of the frame area by the ignition switch.

Thats exactly what I do on my WG also.

Quick connect battery charger.Use banana jacks from a local electronics shop. Solder wires to the pins on one of the jacks, add shrink sleeving,run the wires to the battery,and bolt to an out of sight location.
