Very nice bike! Stay w/ the forward controls! I just changed from mids to forwards last weekend on my '02 FXD, and feel it is MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!!!

Going back to the mid controls isn't cheap, unless the guy that sold the bike to you has the parts. You'll need the stock length shift linkage, stock brake pedal, brake rod from the stock pedal to the rear master cylinder as well as the mid mount pegs and footpegs. You can probably pick up a set in the swap section or on e-bay. I just went to forwards on my Superglide but kept the mid pegs to be able to move my feet around on long trips.
