As a retired AF weapons troop who will eat anything as long as it's not moldy or still alive, and who can sleep anywhere, it used to **** me off when my fellow Airman would bitch about stuff. I would always remind them how easy they had it. My wife loves it that she can throw anything together and I'll be happy as a clam Hell, I even like MRE's!
'****-on-a-shinggle' was my favorite Army breakfast!mmmmmm...oh, 'beans-an-muthafukers' for lunch...C-rats..what are MRE's?????
Except boot camp at FT Knox. Lost 20 pounds the first 3 weeks . I could tell stories till the cows come home. Yea, we had some blanket parties too. Then to Ft Lewis, then to Ft bliss ( hell ) !!!! and the list goes on . Yep. i was one of the last to get drafted before it ended. I went in 1970 . Sorry to drift off topic here .

Could be pretty good with a little water anda microwave. C-rats seem to make more sense, though.
