I hedged my bets... I installed those Supertrapp tunable slip-ons.
Right now I've got them tuned as loud as they will go, which is still not as loud as straight pipes, but loud enough to satisfy me. The high end BRRRRAAAPPP isn't as loud, but they have a nice, low-end bass tone that the straight pipes don't have. It sounds like a musclecar. I can hear them over the wind at 70mph.
If the boys in blue start harassing me, I can just tune them quieter.
They've got that factory look that I like, but they're about five inches shorter than stock:
it would be nice to see more of those piece of **** jap cars with a coffee can for an exhaust pipe getting pulled over for noise
No kidding - I see those piles of crap pumping out that foul, C-RAP bullsh$t they call music. [:@] The exhaust is bad enough...sounds like a bumblebee with throat cancer.

Yeh, the really sad thing is, they don't realize it's your bike rattling their windows....... they think it's the amp
Nothing so far in AZ. I go to cave creek alot and they have a 80 decible limit and a lot of bikes stroll through there. You just have to go slow and not hammer the throttle or you could get a ticket.
does a high end sports car like ferrari ,lambo., Austin Martin pass the noise ordinance stock????? Hmmm....
I know my neighbors diesel F-250 and any tow truck puts my pipes to shame... let alone those buzzy rice burner car exhausts.....
Seems like this would be something where an insane number of vehicles should be ticketed....We have ordinances in Fla. I hear they don't enforce them really.... Kinda like the ape hangers putting ones hands above your shoulder...
I paid $75 to the City of Ocean Ridge a few months ago.
I don't care... I consider it dues. I'm with Dizzy if I hafta put my stocks back on (I saved them just in case)
I cruised by the nice officer at 35mph (speed limit on the beach - A1A)with my clutch in and idling. He was a dick.
Same guy... different day. Another $75 out of my pocket today. This is pissing me off. This time I have Quiet Baffles. He ticketed me not for noise, but for having V&H pipes. Not stock. I was in his town for 2 blocks, then exited and he caught me.
