Default Anyone snowmobile???
My dad and i are heading to Tomahawk wisconsin this weekend to do some snowmobiling... anyone in that area?! how is the snow!?

I'm not from WI. But I'm not far from you JRK, and we have a good 10 inches.

Why go to WI? I just take off right out my garage.

I've got a 96 Ski Doo Formula SS 670 that's in pretty good shape. And a junky 91 Exciter that I haven't started in a few years. One of these days, the Exciter engine is going into one of my golf carts. That'll be a fun ride!

I used to, but I kept wearing out the skiis on the front. Never did figure out why... ?
Also, can't find a decent dealer in the Houston area...

Ya know they've got wheel adapters for to replace the skis. I don't know why anyone would do that though.

Snowmobiles will run across open water. They race them across the Fox River in the summer up here.

I got a place on the chain... not to big into riding those lakes... they never quite freeze... I put an old 340 enticer engine on a go cart when i was younger... good times! I ride a 02 700 classic... polaris... love it! dad got a new yamaha RX-1 so i got his old sled... NICE... that yamaha has the R1 rocket motor in it... fastest thing i have ever been on in the snow... it is insane!!! those old Exciters could take some abuse... I used to have a SR-V yamaha that i raced and used to just beat on that... till a tree beat on me... i lost... tree won

It is a lot of fun. I went on a day long trip in British Columbia years ago.
Maybe we should start a snowmobile forum...
