The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Does yours match your shoes?
I may have been a bit overcritical, but I don't mix words if someone asks for a critique. I mean LOOK at the question, he essentially said "critique my bike, good, bad, ugly". I didn't put much "good" on there I know. If there's some things I nitpicked about that dsmith like, hell yeah, his bike, "don't change on accounta me!". I don't think HE minds the constructive criticism, a few others are sensitive FOR him evidently.
Few other things:
As Jake mentioned, yeah if you could get some flames to match on the rear fender would be good, BUT since it has the plate bracket on the fender, you'd almost have to go with the plate and taillight on a side mount to make it worth it, otherwise not enough exposed paint to paint on to make it worthwhile.
Front fender, I can just assume it came in the semi-gloss black and haven't gotten around to painting it. I still kinda like the white paint to match the flames, and maybe red flames that match the red on the tank? Or else paint it like the tank and fender, just an idea.
Maybe get mirrors with the front signals built in?
And finally on the fork bag for tools, I've seen somewhere small metal toolboxes that would mount like that? Something waterproof? I always end up stuck in a shower so I think about the leather stuff not working that well, especially with rustable tools.
There's lots about the bike that I do like, particularly the flame job, the forks, headlight, bars, risers, I could go on, I DO like the bike!
