By the way, with over 20 years as a "LEO" (cop), I have never known a St. Louis cop that has given a ticket for excess noise to someone on a motorcycle. Not saying it hasn't been done, just saying I don't know of any. In fact, I would go further and say that the cops in the St. Louis area pretty much leave the bikers alone. The sport bike crowd is another story, and that is due to their stunt riding on the interstate which tends to cause several accidents every year.

In most places you won't get a ticket in the US. But, there ARE places that are beginning to pass ordinances and enforce them via ticketing for loud pipes. So, it does occur.
With that said, I liked my Straightshots, but in my opinion, while not the loudest on the block, they are loud enough that they could get you ticketed in such places where they are enforcing such ordinances... My 2 cents...
