So, I'm still insanely new to this. I just bought my Fat Bob three days ago but since I live in Mass, i haven't brought the bike home yet. I sit here on the computer going through the HD website dreaming of all the things I want to do to the bike. Hours on end staring at and comparing hand grips or derby covers, just silly stuff. Here's my dilemma: I really like how the black collection looks but it doesn't seem like there are enough pieces to tie it all together and I'm not sure how it would would look paired up with chrome. I don't really have a specific question, but I would like to seem some bikes that pull off the look or maybe just some opinions. If someone could kick the heat on up here that would be great also.
here's my black denim fat bob with recently installed powdercoated flat black mini-apes, wanted a balance, not total black, so went with the braided diamondback cables all around (except for rear brake)
I also live in mass and just bought a fat bob. now I understand why some people hate the winter here. I am hoping for warm weather soon so I can bring home my bike. My wife keeps saying is that all u are gonna do is sit in front of that computer looking at parts. And I say hell yes so leave me alone. Where did you buy your bikes from? I bought mine at ocean state hd in warwick rhode island.
dont buy create your own man... lots of tallented people on out there and on here just got to look for them! i am telling you... it is amazing what you can come up with if you just try it out...
I got mine at Sheldon's in Auburn. I had to call around a bit to find one in vivid black with forward controls and they ended up getting one from another dealer that owed them a bike. Great customer service there, I will go by dealerships closer to where I live just so I can deal with the people who work there. My wife is the same way. Her new pharase is " and how much does that cost?". Boys and their toys.
I went with the diamond black and skulls on mine. I was originally going with all skulls but thought it would be too much. The diamond black looks awesome with the black denim. I have skull gas cap and fuel gauge. I have foot pegs, brake pedal, grips and shifter in diamond black. I also added the black skull levers. I plan on adding a few more skulls here and there. It all seems to look good so far and I have had lots of good compliments. Good luck, I spent many hours looking before I made my mind up.
