I just ordered my Denim Black Street Bob yesterday and the Dealer told me that it will be in in the middle of next month. I don't know if that helps you out any or not either.
My dealer was supposed to get only two denim Bobs also, one was already sold and the other was rolled out when I was there and then it was sold
Only problem I have is accessories, I've been waiting a month for the exhaust and today they told me another 3 weeks as an estimate.
My local dealer had a Denim Black on the floor for two weeks before I finally pulled the trigger. I was surprised it didnt sell faster. I decided I would take it off there hands. All accessories are in. All I'm waiting on is my wifes accessories for her new Sporty. Her wheels are on 2 weeks back order.
We shall see.
I didn't have to order. The closest dealer had none so I called the other dealer about 30 miles away and just so happened to have a vivid black sitting there! This was in July and I had just finished reading a motorcycle mag on the 06 street bob. Not many folks knew about this new bike yet so I think I just got lucky. Enjoyed every mile and enjoyed it even more with the forward controls.
i orderded my vivid black street bob on 10/15/05 here in germany.
in two days i can celebrate my 4-months-waiting-for-street-bob-jubilee . . . arghhhh . . . it's hard to wait so long time.
hope i have not to wait another 4 months . . . :-(
Everytime I see one of these post I go to the garage and sit on my Black Denim Bob and feel thankful. I think HD is just way behind because the reception this bike is getting is blowing them away. These stories remind of the process everyone went through back in the late 80's early 90's.
