got two quick questions. You said the covers are for a Night Train, but fit the bob? You have the part numbers?
and are your back sigs stock black or did you paint/powdercoat them? I've been looking for black sigs and can't find them anywhere.
again, great job, that blue really pops with the black and chrome!
Got my scooter back this afternoon. Finally got around to having the NiteTrain rockers I bought from a forum member installed and I have to say, I'm really happy with the dimension it adds to my bike. I'mpleased with the contrast between the silver motor and black covers and really feel like it came together the way I had envisioned it, without spending huge amounts of coin in the process. Guess you could call it a poormans way of customizing a bike on a budget.
This was pretty much my last major project to take care of for the winter which works out well, because riding season is just around the corner as far as I am concerned. I plan on logging more miles than last year, rather than spend time fussing with my scooter adding this and that.
What do you think?
Looks real nice, Jay!! Real nice. Amazing what the little 'splash' of black will do. Really brings out the black on the right side of the motor.
Very nice looking setup there. The rocker box covers look great, and they fit in quite nicely with the other blacked out aspects of your bike. Especially the apes.
I've been hunting high and low for black fender support covers. Did you get yours powder coated, or did you find them in H-D wrinkle black somewhere??
Strich: The (stock) softail night train has the same engine as a dyna. Wrinkle black rocker box covers will fit on any stock 96 inch H-D engine, whether it be a softail, dyna, etc.
looks great..i powdercoated mine myself and im really pleased with the way it looks..you are very right the black does look good with the silver motor.
