I am also looking for any information on replacing my stock fuel guage with the Harley LED Skull fuel guage. Unfortunately they do not manufacture it for my year bike - the internal wiring harness is set up for a 4 pin connecter that I believe they started using in '04 when the Dyna's went to Fuel injection.
Am I mistaken in thinking that I could purchase a different one that fits my bike and swap the wiring harness from that one and put it on the Skull Guage. As always, any advice would be greatly appreciated
The skull and flush mount fuel gauges are only three pins. If you get the wireing digram you might be able to make it work. Although that's a fairly expensive part to be tinkering with.
I like the Kury gauge better. It has a volt meter too.
If it doesn't fit your bike with the standard plug, do what I did and remove the "adapter" from the back of the gauge and just wire it in.
