I haven't been here long but it seems some folks clown on people for wearing chaps or whatever, and it has all been grouped into "fingerless gloves", and other folks are clowning about people clowning.
If you ever find yourself wondering about the roots of the stigma associated with fingerless gloves and chaps, look no further than Judas Priest, c. 1984.
Link posting 101...........place a word ( like Click ) and then highlight it and then add your link to the word. Otherwise you blow the page so wide no one can see everything.
Thanks! Mikeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Keeps the top of my hands relatively cool while rolling due to the mesh and still sheaths fingers and palms in an additional layer of protection. Good until the temps drop to 45degrees or lower.
Then it's some thin leather gaultlets and liners if needed.
Wear what suits you. From my bike pic below you can see I'm not terribly worried about image. My "city rider" friends like to razz me about my saddlebags and windshield. I don't really care. Then they usually follow up by asking if I'll to carry some of their stuff..
I finally got the Lindbar engine guard I've been wanting.Once I stick it on (waiting on the mounting brackets for the FXDWG) I'll be mounting additional front lighting for visibility (in case I'm not wearing my green vest over my jacket).
Then I need a few more rear lights for cell-phone talkers behind me..
Never really understood the stigma of the fingerless gloves, I guess if yer sportin skulls and bones or a leather vestlike 'ol Rob here.....mustmean you aredeeply embedded inthat alternate lifestyle also. Oh snap...H-D has skull and bone accessories for your bikes......thats gotta mean sumptin', huh? And every bikerstore in the country has leather vests.....does that mean we're all......[sm=confused06.gif]

They're cheap (free at work!).
They get the job done.
They're light-colored for optimal bird-flying.
I really don't care how I look. I wear a canvas riding jacket, and a full-face helmet. I'm sure there are people who cringe when they see someone wearing that on a Harley. No skin off my back.
