I used to drink the high-dollar stuff, then I laid off all booze completely for a couple years (that was boring as hell). When I went back to it, I cut a deal with myself NOT to buy expensive ANYTHING in a bottle EVER. So now I pretty much stick to Bud Ice and a cheap cab or merlot, with the occasional Guiness when I'm feeling pretty and want to treat myself to something special.

The Belgians do make some fine beer (God bless the trappist monks). I spent a 3 day weekend in Gent, Belgium and mustadmit it took a couple weeks to get used to my old pals Bud heavyand PBR when I got back to the USA.
Going to Kiev, Ukraine next week; peppered Wodka and short skirts!
Sorry, but I think I would rather be forced to drink wine coolers and Pina coladas for eternity... wearing pink tutu's with a tiara of sequins and flowers than to choke down some of the tasteless swill that's been posted here. Now I really don't want anyone to take this personally at all, but YUCK.
Beer snob alert! Are you one of those guys that makes a scene at the bar if they don't have Hoggendeuseldorfenschnauzer Mocha Latte Summer Sweet-Bitter Ale? Just messin' with you...
My preferences change with the weather/location. Myfavorites aren't the standard brands, but I won't turn my nose up at anything. Some beers arebetter than others, but none of it's what I'd call bad.
