thank you for defending our country. I bought a fat bob and I am going to pick it up tomorrow. Its gonna be around 50 degrees. I cant wait to ride it though. I bought the fatbob because it fits me well. good luck and stay safe.
Just some friendly advice on a riding safety course. Take the course on the bike you plan on ridding. When I got my MC license about 24 yrs ago I was riding a 750 with a faring and decided the safety course would be easier on a smaller bike. I thought wrong. I was used to ridingthe larger bike and had a he** ofa time getting through the course on the smaller bike. Thats my experince anyway.
Like you I never rode before. Last August I took the Riders Edge. 6 weeks ago I bought my first bike. Now Im sitting thru the longest freakin winter Chicago has seen in years before I can break her in. And like everyone is sayin just take it easy and before you know it you'll be fine. And by chance if there happens to be a Hot Russian Stripper in your class dont try to show off, it could beembarrassing if you wipe out or something infront of everybody. Good luck and keep us posted
Chicago Winters do suck.....and do seem to be longer when you are payin 300 a month to look at a pretty Fat Bob sittin in the garage. Im from Joliet.......I took mine for a spin down rt59 at noon today.....as long as no skin is exposed....im good down to 30 degrees without a shield or helmet.
This is a great bike to learn on.....Ive gone from virago, to GSXR to shadow to this Fat bob......If it had rear sets instead of forward controls......I'd say it handles more like the GSXR than any of my others.....Youll love it. Oh yea......make sure you do the stage 1 and let this baby breathe!!
Scooter Wench.....You like the blue? I ordered Black Denim....but they kept pushing it and they called me when the Dark Pearl Blue came in......It was on their floor for less than 24 hours before I rode it home. I really like it......same pegs on mine also.
