I have a 2000 fxdl, with the idiot light mounted on an eyebrow by the head light.
I can't find how to release the lights from the brow. The clip is way down through the frame. Which don't make sense to pull all the way out to the head light to remove.
The little plastic lights are apart in three pieces. But can not pull brow out and away.
I don't quite understand what you're trying to do. You idiot lights should plug in to the wiring harness under the tank console. You'll need to pop the round cover over the nut or bolt that hold the headlight to the eyebrow & take the headlight off to access the underside of the eyebrow to get the idiot lights out of the eyebrow. Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to do.
You may be right about the wiring harness for the idiot lights being under the console. I took for granted it went to the main harness. I will get picks when I go to the shop tonight at 11:00 tonight.
Everything went smooth, until I had to remove that brow.
Azgunner thank's, It is under the console. I need to stop before three a.m. to see it. But the bad problem now is I have to pull my outer races in my neck. They have some wear, Harley did not grease properly, That iswhat it looks like.
Having the tool would be nice. But my Buddy who build's bike's, Tim Cauffman, From Thunder road cycles, said to put a small bead(weld)on the race and that gives you some thing to tap on for removal.
