Another fuel post got me wondering. I never have really checked my miles per gallon on my 07 Street Bob. I shoot for 200 miles a tank. If I am over 150 and getting ready to make a run somewhere I fill up. So what is the milage some of you are getting or how manymiles a tank you run? I would like to have the ol lady follow me this summer with a gas can and go till I run out to see for sure. I don't trust the gauge since tank lift.
I learned my lesson and don't run the reserve if I can help it. I can get 150 without having to get into the reserve. Too many times I forgot that i turned it on reserve the day before and ended up pushing. No fun!
I'm right around the same s you street. This week in Daytona I let it run till the light came on going down US 1. 4 gallons is what I put in with 160 something on the trip odometer. So 40 something for that fill up.
I learned ... I can get 150 without having to get into the reserve... Too many times I forgot that i turned it on reserve the day before and ended up pushing. No fun!
I am with the baron, I run about 150 miles then hit the station. Never do I run the reserve, unless dire emergency. I have had to push and it sucks.
Hmm. I must be a bit heavy on the throttle. I run 115 miles between fill-ups. Average fill is 3.5 to 3.8 gallons. But my riding is almost all city, so I don't get much for highway efficiencies, I suppose.
My best mileage during the summer was 56 mpg. Most of my trips are secondary roads. The worst mileage was 50. I have no mods, running stock. I usually fill-up when I am around a half tank. That usually is around 115-120 miles.
I also have a 2â tank lift.
My 07 SB holds 4.7 gallons.
The bike has a big sucker stage 1 with Rinehartâs 2 into 1 and a 2â tank lift.
I donât baby it at all. I get 40 mpg. and happy to get that.
I get about 150 to 160 before the low fuel light comes on and then usually stop and fill up. I usually only put 3 somthing gallons in the tank so I figure when the low fuel light comes on I have about another gallon left. If I ran it down to nothing I could get somewhere around 200 miles.
Closest I came was 185 mi. of highway driving and putabout 4gallons in. I don't remember exactly how much. I get about 37 mpg daily driving with stops and goes a lot. I have the SE a/c, PC III USB and Rush 2" baffle mufflers. It did the same before when stock.
