True on all accounts. However, I thought the same about the bags being off more but I gotta tell ya, they are on a hell of a lot more than off. It's not a matter of laziness because I do take them off occasionally. It's just a matter of convenience for storing items or picking something up along the way and they get lots of compliments to. But, 15 seconds on or off is a really nice choice.

You got it!! Took a few more to give you the idea. Another thing about how these bags mount is that it is snug to the bike which I like very much.

I have Leather Pros bags which are the exact same thing as the Boss Bags with no silver oval on them. They are nice.

Leather Pros are a little cheaper then Boss Bags.

Yes, Leather Pros is the brother of the owner of Boss Bags so they are very similar. Cory, I'm not sure but the difference I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, you can't lock those to the bike but you can lock the lids, correct? They also have 2 cam arms in the bag to secure them that impeded on some storage space for me. They are top notch bags though identical to the Boss Bags and you can see that in their web site similarities.

I just ordered a set of boss bags from Shopxr.com. I don't have them yet but they were about 40 dollars cheaper than ordering from factory and I didn't pay any tax or shipping

Got my bags and easybrackets from: http://www.chilhowee.net/motorcycle-saddlebags.html

Emailed them a couple questions, got a pretty prompt response back. The bags are made by Auburn leather and they actually have their own site: http://auburnleather.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page11.html

Very easy install, bags look great as well. Compared a lot of different bags/sizes. This gave me the biggest size at a respectable price.

those leatherpro/boss bags already come with the mounting hardware installed on the bags? By this did they set them up so that they are angled like db252 or did he do that.... personally I like a bag that is parallel to the ground so this is why I ask for my own curiosity. Also while you did not have to relocate turn signals on your bobtail fender will those with the standard fender like the op and myself need to relocate?

Might have been due to the detachable backrest, if we have the same year bike. I got the DNA-L3DB model easybracket. Used the same mounting holes for the backrest, just added on a longer piece for the easybracket to attach too. That was one of the questions that I asked the rep at Chilhowee. The bag I bought was the Braided Renegade II.
