I have ordered V&H staggered shorthots and still haven't decided on which ac to go with. I am looking at both the Ness big sucker stage 1 and the screamin eagle stage 1. I know i can use the OEM football cover with the big sucker. Can I use the football with the sc? The HD catalog doesn't specify. Which way do you guys suggest I go? Thanks for any input.

Both about the same as far as performance and you can use the stock football with either. I liked the filter on the ness better because, if it's not a K&N, it's a good replica. Both kits specify to use the stock a/c cover after you're done installing but you certainly have other options if you like. I run mine open with a HD a/c cover insert on the end but I can also remove 1 bolt and put the football on if I need to be concerned with excessive rain or anything like that.
