rain suit???

Who sells the best rainsuits? I dont want to pay a whole lot but I do want it to be good.

to be honest with you when it comes to rain gear you get what you pay for. I bought the harley suit for 130$

I have used this many times on 100 mile trips and have always stayed dry and warm. Plus its reflective and fold up into a very small back for easy carrying.

I read a bunch of rain suit reviews a while back, and the general consensus was the H-D set was the best of the bunch.
You can buy cheaper stuff, but anyone thats spent any time in the rain with those have had to put in a lot of elbow grease removing the scorched plastic off the pipes.
The leather patch on the inside of the legs really makes a difference

Get a set of very light and very breathable Frogg Toggs for $60 and put a big square of duct tape on the inside left leg like the old timers taught me many years ago. [sm=biker.gif]

I bought the Cabela's guidewear stuff yrs ago for fishing. Works out great on the bike too. You definitely get what you pay for.

I went to Daytona with a pair of black Carhartt Bib Overalls and a Gortex Jacket that I planned on using in the event of rain. The Jacket is a police style uniform jacket that was issued from work without insignia. We got caught out in the first of several rainstorms during Bike Week.... dry from the waist up, soaked through form the waist down. I've always been a believer of Gortex, and this reinforced it. Picked up a pair of HD rain pants from Rossmeyer's and the next day. They paid for themselves that night, and the next day, and the next.

Now I just need to find a pair of Gortex gauntlets to go over my other riding gloves.....
