I don't know?...the more I leave mine on the more I get kinda used to 'em?
That's what happened with mine. I kind of got used to them and I actually now don't hate them like I did at the beginning. I will definitely keep them and take care of them. However, I know the new ones will look good as well or I wouldn't have bought them. I'm down with a bad back this week. I went to get "juiced up" yesterday and I have to wait for it to kick in. After that happens, I'll put these on and post some pix.
I've considered changing mine as well, I like something with a little more "Harley" look to it........but, at the same time you don't see many FXDCs so it's nice to be a littledifferent.
I may be like FXDC rider and buy some and just think about it awhile.
I folded over some of the painters tape and stuck it to the back of one. Then just kept moving it and looking at it from all dif points till i was happy. Then started with the string and tape to mark up the tank. But if the bike is not up right and level - what you like on one side will not look the same on the other. Know what I am trying to say????
I also just can't seem to bring myself to change these badges...
Fortunately I didn't have that problem with my street bob - hated the stock badges and took them off the first day, then hunted around for something and got a few other ones to try, but in the meantime started to really love it without any! Finally broke down and put on what had been my first choice - RKC badges:

Love them badges...looks GREAT on your bike!
Thanks Ian! We'll have to get together for a ride sometime - unfortunately doesn't look to be for a while - more snow and sleet today on top of frozen mud and ice on my road and snow banks don't seem to melting any time soon up here at 1200'. UGH!
To be honest Ian, I'm not much into Laconia these days - haven't been back since the early 70's when it was REAL, if ya get my gist. Just too much traffic, parking issues and general hassle. Seems like the older I get the more I like riding and no so much the parking and gawking. But who knows? I'm only 50 minutes from Concord in any event.
I think you noticed in the Northeast Forum oldhippie and few others seem to get together for some day rides up this way (north central MA and NH's Monadnock region), and I'd like to hook up with those guys some time, so that might work out as well. I'll need some friendly dyna company with all those baggers! LOL!

Hey, just let me know & shoot me a PM or somethin'. I hear ya about Laconia, I've just never been & gotta do it atleast once just for the experience.
