As I've said, I've torgued everything down, I would think a cracked jug or head, the bike wouldn't be performing as well as it does.
I've checked the breather vents and hoses, all is well there. The intake does get oily quicker than the ole lady's ( I service both at the same time)
I guess I'll just have to live with it until I have new jugs and the top end re-built, probably after the 08 riding season.
Gonna change my handle to oily beard.......LOL

Ya know there's a mod to tie those two breather vents into a tee and run them down a drain line that is snaked to the bottom of the engine and it just drains on the road. Think DAWG has done that. Whole point here, might be worth a try if even as a test to see if the problem is related to the breathers.
But, tank off and pulling the rocker covers is less than an hour's worth of work - top end gasket kit includes the breather parts as well. There is also a mod to drill the breather hole to a slightly larger diameter - again, Dawg pointed to that tip.

I did that same trick...ran the tubes down on my sporty.....its a cheap shot to see if thats where the problem lies, I'll probably be doing that sometime soon and keep my fingers crossed.
