mixing russell and goodridge?

mixing russell and goodridge?
here's the deal:
i want to replace the rear rubber brake line with a black stainless one on my 07 FXDB.... problem is, the MC fitting is a short 90 degree with the brake switch attached to it- not a problem since russell makes a black one....however, the russell lines aren't all that black...BUT the goodridge "ebony" line is black vinyl over stainless braid (this is what i'm using for my front)
anyway, can i use russell fittings with a goodridge brake line?....i mean, they're both AN-3 lines and fittings....and i'd suspect that neither brand -any brand really- is so proprietary that interchangeability isn't aloud
anyone know before i spend the money to do this?
