This isn't a thread about the merits of wearing or not wearing them. I was just curious what kinds of helmets people use. I was looking around for some unique styles and came across this which I thought was cool.
I'm still pissed,I was out bid on ebay a few weeks ago on a helmet that had horns&hair and looked cool and would have made my old lady mad.I was only going to wear it on poker runs.
great place. They have all you need for the skid lid style!!
and I have tried on that drifter after my state is crackin down on the non dot helmets and thought it was very gazoo-like. My girl looks right at me and said " uh NO" so i put it back down and moved on trying on DOT approved lids. Had luck with one cause I gutted it to make it sit lower on my head. only use that on on occasions though. Brain bucket/skid lid it is for me till I rack up too many tix
Thank you, I am gonna check them out, how are those neopreme face scarfs? They look pretty cool, and prob are nice on the cooler days or nights.
Now if I am looking for something DOT approved where can I find a lid thats low profile for out here in CA. Like I said this is my first bike so I dont have a ton of experience. All I know is the HD helmets sat way to high off my head. Any suggestions on brands or ideas on how to make them fit better?
If you can get onto a military installations go to the clothing and sales and get a neck gator. Things work great for me. I havent found them anywhere else though. Also check out J & P Cycles. You can get thier full catalog free and its got plenty of stuff in there. I actually just went to all the websites I could and got all the free Catalogs I could. Makes the old lady mad when they all stack up in my office, aka bathroom.
