My seat on my new StreetBob is getting creases in the pleated area. The dealer says Harley will not warranty it.They said they have had this problem with other StreetBob owners, and Harley would not warranty it.Has anyone had this problem?I think it is bad quality.
I had the same problem with my seat after 100 miles or so, the stealer gave me a new one, I brought my bike in and showed them, he ran in the back shop, grabbed a screwdriver, took my seat off, then took a seat off a new one sitting on the show room floor, swapped them and on my way I went. {this is a true story} been back 3 yes 3 more times!! Warranty replacement every time, finally got fed up and got a different seat, suggest you do the same.
My seat got little pipmples in the creases, took it to the dealer and they ordered a new one under warranty. I did notice that the new seat has thicker material than the original and it has lasted longer than the first seat but I see it getting the pimples too.
My seat still looks great as far as wrinkles, etc. I noticed some new in showroom looked pretty bad on the rear seam. However mine is starting to split on one of the ribs so I'll have to get it replaced under warranty. What p##ses me off is after about 2,000 miles the seat seemed to 'break in' and is really comfy now. Will have to start all over again...[]
Harley vinyl is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. Usually that fuzzy back paper thin crap. You can get them recovered with better vinly cheap. Flaws and surface cracks in real leather is pretty normal.
Yep, I think all the 07 Street Bobseats donât hold up.
My HD dealer said nothing they can do. I didnât push it
because the replacement seat would do the same thing.
No big deal to me as I have a more comfortable seat anyway.
