I bought the quick disconnect windshield for my 2006 dyna wide, but i notice it doesnt protect my face from anythiong , rain, cold ect... it doesnt go high enough just seems to cover my chest anyone else have that problem
Do you have it adjusted as high up on the forks as it will go? I'm 6'4" with a lot of my height being from the waist up. I have the standard QD windshield and it fits just right when I have at as high up on the forks as I can get it. I really wouldn't need it that high except that I only use it when I'm riding long distance with my thick a$$ed Tallboy seat that sits me up a couple inches higher than usual. To fit correctly, it should be where your eyes look just over the top of it when riding normally.
ok, maybe its right then cuz my eyes are over the top, i was thinking they should be behind it all the time,, im only 5'8 but i have to lean way low to be behind it

If you are 5'8", you should be just fine. Nothing wrong with ducking behind it now and then but you really shouldn't be riding that way. You want to be looking just over top of it.
Have you got caught in the rain yet? On heavy downpours, you will need to peak above the shield to see what's going on (and that's when you wish you had mini wipers for your shades).
should be 1-2" below your eyeline so the wind curves over your helmet but you can see over the screen comfortably ... should never need to duck behind unless its a bird hit ! rain will go over too
What matkiwi said. Mine is as low as it will go on my SB and I just look over the top. My face shield overlaps it enough to protect my face and I can duck down behind it if I the need arises.
The top of my windshield is at about my nose or upper lip, and it's all the way to the top of my forks. Luckily, this is high enough, because I can't go up any higher.
I have the quick detatch and it was too tall on the super glide. I am 6'2" and I ended up chopping it down 6 inches, for eyeline clearance and buffeting problems. Shields don't stop the rain, they stop things that are coming at you from the front, not down from the front.
