To brow or not?
No Brow for me please.
I spent about 2 minutes drilling my tree. Flipped the drill upside down drilled straight up from the bottom (fender side)
Still gotta figure out what to do with the brow holes. Maybe a really tall whip antena (not really)

I find it interesting those chiming in who own a model produced after they quit making the brow ... not much of a real concern for them!!
I just bought a new headlight and am about to drill the lower tree of my '05. I found the look of the brow to be one of my biggest dissatisfier since buying my Super Glide.
I know it's been around for 30+ years--a H-D tradition. But, it doesn't change the fact that I don't really like the way it looks.
In the 2 years I'd owned it, I almost started getting used to it; but the fact that I have a headlight sitting in my garage waiting to be installed I guess says otherwise!

anybody have a pic of a Super Glide without brow? I'm not sure if i would like the added space between speedo and light? or if it would add to the cyclops look of the speedo?

I have always thought of the brow as "Harley" since I loved Sportsters, Lowriders, and Super Glides as a youngster in the 70's. But I do have to say that I like the look without it, too, especially with a wide front end like some have added. Ever since the bottom triple clamp mounted lights have been used on everything but Sportsters, the high mounted light with the "brow" looks more out of place all the time to me. I don't plan to change it for now, but I might down the road. OTOH, the brow will be less common all the time, so maybe I'll keep it so the bike will be more original. You never know...
I ended up wrestling the wiring out of the original 'brow' headlight and threading it into the new shell (vice trying to disconnect and re-wire with the new wiring provided).
Then, I figured I'd have to drill out the lower tree, but I didn't count on having to remove the front wheel and fender to gain access. That or others are using a different (smaller or something) kind of drill. Also, the mounting bolt provided wasn't long enough so I had to go to the store and buy a longer bolt.
All in all, not too hard to do, but a little more involved than I'd counted on.
I would buy the top triple tree chrome cover if I was planning on leaving it like this, but I am getting a wide glide fork next week; so, this is just an interim solution.
Looks much better, for now!
