I have the standard height on my 2006 Superglide, it pretty much stays on all the time now unless going to a local cruise night function or I just feel like stripping down to basics again. It has several inches of up and down adjustment on the forks, you can find the place which minimizes the buffeting for you.

if you are looking to buy one, i have one for sale. its the 58346-06 Quick-Release Detachable Compact Windshield - Standard-Height for sale. its is good condition about 4,000 miles on it. reason iam sell it is because i changeed to a wdg front end and it wont fit. iam selling it for 175.00 + 25.00 shipping (MSRP 339.00). drop me a p.m. or email me if your interested. jackyl

[sm=exactly.gif] Definitely a good buy for someone. I paid the full $339 for mine. Well worth it, however, and chances are I'll never take it off.

I have the QD Compact on my Bob. I stayed away from them for many years, now I wonder what I was thinkin'. It's great on the road and comes off and goes on easily.

I use mine only when necessary bc I don't like the way windshields look on any bike.

Do any of you use oneofthe H-D quick release detachable windshields? I am thinkiing of purchasing one for my 2006 FXD35I, but wanted to gather some opinions from you folksbefore Imake the decision. Thanks!
I have the HD detachable on my 07 Lowrider and love it. No buffeting like others seem to have. Maybe it's my fork bag disrupting the airflow, I don't know. I remove it for cruising around town on hot days. Great on the highway and I love it when those Junebugs hit the windshield, knowing it otherwise would have been my face.
