Default EFI Question
After being away from riding for about 23 years I just picked up a nice 06 FXDLI. Runs great but the EFI makes a constant noise. Couldn't figure out where it was comin from till I put my ear to the air cleaner. Is this normal? My old 72 sporty sure did not sound like that.

The injectors do make noise. I guess you might say they are "firing" like the spark plugs.... best analogy I can think of.
They inject/ not carb

What kind of noise? Maybe you need louder pipes. I noticed with stock mufflers that the lifters seemed kinda loud on my bike.

Exactly....Trying to decide what kind of slip ons I can put on without having to do the total stage 1. I want the sound on a beer budget...lol. Looking at Screamin Eagle and Vance and Hines. Any other ideas?

you may want to have that check.yes they do make a noise when you first turn the key on. but i have'nt heard of them still makeing noise after that.mine dont and i know of a couple others that dont.but even to be on the safe side have it check. so you dont end up walking.

I put SE mufflers on mine and after the computer download I noticed no difference than before the computer download. The computer may adjust that much. I'm sure someone will disagree.
