Default chrome pulley

Has anyone has issues with chrome peeling or flaking on a sprocket?

Do you mean pulley? If so, no, but I did break one.

Mine was a DNA recall that an unscrupulous seller didn't inform me of. I was able to get it replaced at not cost except shipping to the seller.

Even if the pulley is billet, it is possible to break it and possible for chrome to peel off.

I responded this way because I wasn't sure which part you were responding too...

I am on the fence weather to get the matching renegade pulley to match the wheels or just get the chrome pulley cover that harley offers. I am thinking I will just go with the cover. Much cheaper and will still look good.

Chrome pulley covers are about $50 and look good. Custom pulleys to match your custom wheels are great, but expensive.

I have a custom cut pulley (66 tooth, 1 inch) coming from www.cv2customs.com ....120.00 for the blank, and 50.00 for the cut.... when it arrives, I'm sending it out for triple plate chroming

you can also get blanks at www.allamericanwheel.com ....115.00 ....they provide them for Renegade, RC components, Performance Machine, etc...

very nice people to deal with, too
