Default Got my new FXD!

Finally got my 08 FXD and got a good ride in on Sunday and today. Man I love this thing, handles great and love the torque. Surprisingly I actually like the bar and speedo set up for now and the seat seems pretty comfy to me. I'm a little cramped with the mids but they'll do for now.

Congratrulations! I'm having my forwards installed before I take delivery, which, hopefully, will be Saturday.

Forget the highway pegs and go straight to the forwards. If your set on doing the forwards then you'll just be tossing money out the window and don't pay the stealer to do it. You only need a small amount of mechanichal skill and some basic tools to install them.

If you have H-D do it...about $500 bucks or so? For bikes '06 & above just the kit is $325.

I'm 5'-10" with a 32" inseam, I guess average guy. Man I couldn't imagine if I was 6' or bigger with the mids. I'll get to the forwards sooner or later. I have some drag bars with the integrated risers on order and working on a speedo setup that should be interesting if it works.

I must say the FXD is a lot of bike for the price. For a while I wasn't too sure if I made the right choice after seeing all the S Bobs on here but the more I look at it the more I like the silver engine, mag wheels and the sleek tank and fill. I picked a brand new primary, cam and trans covers for under $100 w/shippping on ebay. I sandblasted and polished the cam cover and it came out awesome. Shocked at how nice the aluminum looks.
