Default Should I Expect Basic Tool kit with the Dyna?

I'm picking up my Dyna Super Glide on Tues. Do they come with a std tool kit (if so, where are they stowed on the bike) ? If not, what is recommended? I keep an extensive set of tools in my garage for work on my classic cars (Std & Metric).

If you get a set of tools with your bike, you'll be lucky.

Never got tools with the bike, but I have bought many since.

TedH, I don't think you will get a tool kit with your bike. All I got with my bike is a T-Shirt!! Harley has a couple of tool kits in their parts and accessory catalog. Good luck with your new bike!!!!

Thx for the info.

Being a Craftsman customer, will probably go with either my version of the following kit for Domestic rides (from my existing tools) or buy outright. Will need to be sure to include an allen wrench for the air cleaner according to an article that says the kit doesn't include that size (I'm sure I have it in my STD tool set).

Doubt you'll get any tools with the bike even thou some have said dofferently here. Must have been a dealer thing.

Here some input on what you need... https://www.hdforums.com/m_96975/tm.htm

No tool kit with a Dyna. I've got plenty of tools in my garage. When I'm out riding the only tool kit I carry is my cell phone. I've been lucky so far.

Just put together your own. Make sure at very least vice grip pliers, allen wrench set, phillips head screwdriver, the torx (the star shaped bits) set and a basic open end wrench set.

While putting together all of those SAE tools, don't forget to add a 10mm. I think that there is also one other metric wrench needed. Also, you'll have need for the next larger Allen wrench than is in a standard set. I just bought the socket type and threw it in the Sears tool kit.
Beza Windzone makes a nice tool kit that you might want to look at for ideas. Also Cruz makes some very nice kits, but they are a bit pricey.
I do wish that H-D would include at least a crude tool kit and a place to put it and the owners manual. At least a place to put them if you buy their aftermarket items. Art

... Also, you'll have need for the next larger Allen wrench than is in a standard set...
if you get the Harley 8-in-1 Screwdriver, part #94669-00, the handle is actually the size of the next larger allen size, which you need for the air cleaner bolt.

"Ideal tool for most of the screws on H-DĀ® products. The unique 8-in-1 design conveniently stores all fittings within handle. Included are #40, 30, 27, and 25 Torx, #2 and 3 Phillips and 2 slotted driver bits. Quality engineered by Snap-OnĀ® with lifetime guarantee against breakage. "
