Does any one know if they make an LED replacemnt for a regular brake bulb?
I have a Kuryaken Smoked laydown tail light on right know, and the bulb blew out yesturday .
I was thinking if they had an LED version i would just replace with that.
But Kuryaken dosent have a bulb like that so i am now here .
Any thoughts or recomendations ?
I know i could just by a whole LED tail light but dont feel like dropping that coin ( more gas money )
after all the my most favorite thing on my bike is the Miles

Slinger, I might be able to help you, but I'm not sure yet. First off, though, on the bulb thing, they do make LED bulbs that fit into the sockets of regular bulbs but you need a load equalizer to run them since they pull a lot less power. Also, I'd bet it won't put out enough light and you'd be disappointed with it.
However, I have a Kuryakyn smoked laydown deluxe LED on my bike and I discovered the other day that the smoked lense somehow got cracked. The LED unit works fine though. I went ahead and bought an entire replacement that is due to arrive here on the big brown truck at any minute. I haven't taken the broken light off my bike yet but I'm wondering if the LED's could be removed from it and fit into another lense. If you think that is possible or want to give it a try, I'll sell it to you dirt cheap - basically just cover the cost of shipping it. PM me if you are interested in trying it. The LED module plugs right in to where the stock light plugs so it's a very easy switch to LED in that case.
Slinger, I just ran out and took the old Kury deluxe laydown off. I've only had it about 6 months. Looks like the LED unit was just held in with some adhesive caulk - the same thing that coats and waterproofs the entire back of the unit. I easily removed it from the lense with a knife. Here are back and front pix of the lense and the led unit. If you think you can use it with your lense, let me know. My new one is "out for delivery" today and I was just going to take this one and toss it. But, the LED's work just fine on my 07 dyna and, if you can use them, we will work something out for a lot less than you'd spend on a sub-par LED bulb and a load equalizer. Let me know...
I have no way of knowing if this will work for you but I'm betting Kury's lenses are exactly the same for both types of lights and the bulb'd lights use a reflector insert with a hole for the bulb and the LED's just go in as 1 unit. Up to you though. I was going to buy a smoked lense and try this myself but I just decided to get a whole new light instead.
2007fxdcif he is not intresed i am... i have been thinking about rebuilding my tail light and making my own LED brake but if you have somehting i can use as a starter that woudl be awesome... if leadslinger does not take you up on the offer of course... i would like to trear it all donw and solder it in
