Can anyone tell me which after market air cleaner element fits the 08 FXDC
I cant find anything on the K&N website specific for the 08 Dyna's with the teardrop air cleaner anywhere, Will the HD-1499 fit?
Or any other manufacturers
I flicked off an email to K&N but thought I would ask here as well
I want to keep the stock aircleaner but run a better filter
Just a thought. I'd go with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker or Screamin' Eagle "round" Stage 1 filter setups. They should fit under your teardrop and they will fit a larger variety of after market and custom AC covers than K&N.

+1 Then the K&N HD0800 should fit. OR go to the K&N website and email them for the correct part number and they will respond in 1 day.
If you're looking for great filters and something that will out perform stock options, the guys over at Zipper's Performance were extremely helpful. I actually placed an order for what I though I wanted. I got a call from one of the guys over there asking me why I decided on what I ordered and he ultimately talked me into something lower priced because it was a better fit to my application. That's great customer service in my book!
Thanks for the replies guys
So I can change the backing plate, Use a different filter and still use the teardrop cover?
I'll have a look into that
Thanks again
