Default CLANK!!!

Thats what my 06 Low Rider sounds like when I shift gears. All the way to 6th. And then all of the way back down to 1st. I was reading other posts where guys said it clanked in 1st and 2nd but it makes no difference what gear I am shifting to. Anyone else experiance this or should the dealer be looking at it?

By the way....just bought it so I am still learning the sounds of sweetness.

Try switching to a full synthetic gear oil like Mobil 1 75/90.

+1 on a good gear oil.......... I use Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W-140 and it's smooth and quiet.
Redline Heavy is also highly recommended.
HD Syn3 will make her CLANK real good.

If it is really bad, make sure your tranny fluid is up to the full mark.

I use Redline Shockproof which quiets is down some and makes neutral a breeze to find.

Yes, that's my plan for the next few days. I took some leave, so I'll be able to take my time and do my 1,000 mile service correctly. First timer, so I've given myself plenty of time...
