Sorry if this has been asked about before. (which I'm sure it has) I did a quick search and really didn’t get the answers I was looking for. Has anyone had their 06 Dyna dyno'd right away. If so what are considered good numbers right out of the create and then numbers after stage 1. After stage I my Street Bob posted 78hp and 79TQ. What the general consensus.
I had them put on reinhardt/ bub slip ons. Imo they look pretty good with the black tips on the black denim. And a race tuner as well. I'd like to hear some opinions on the race tuner if ya got them. I think I see a 95 in CI future. Mind you I have not seen the dyno slip yet. I pick the bike up next week...weather providing.
If you are putting well over 70 horsepower on the ground right out of the box
You are very well. I think I will wait untill I have 1000 or so miles on mine before
I put it on the dynamometer. Dyno runs can put a lot of stress and strain on an
engine and drive line. I would feel better about it if I knew that the engine and drive
line had some break in time first. Try the dyno again after you put 1000 or so miles
on your bike and see how much change there is in the results.
From some tech articles I've real on the internet and in print magazines, the 06's Dyna's should post a a few more ponies since the new 06 heads flow +/- 10 percent better, the valves/valvetrain is lighter and there is far less tension/friction on the internal cam chain arrangement through the use of the updated hydraulic tensioners. Gotta be worth something right?
