Hey people, after owning my 2007 Low Rider for a year and putting 2000.00 in accessories on it, I am putting it up for sale. In the past year I have gotten so involved with HOG that I'm already the Safety officer for my chapter and I am trying to get my wife more involved, so in order for her to ride more I will be purchasing either a 2008 Road Glide or a 2008 Electra Glide Classic so she is more comfortable. I really hate to part with my Lowrider, it is a great bike, but I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do when you can't afford payments on two brand new bikes. Hope nobody here see's me as a "sell-out", the Dyna crowd will always be my favorite group.
Sorry you are leaving us Sarge! It's nice that the wife is getting more involved though, it's always good when you can enjoy the lifestyle with your spouse (okay, almost always! LOL) I know what you mean about the HOG chapter. We've been members since November and I've already been nominated to run for Treasurer. Elections are next month, wish me luck! (Will need more luck if elected!)
I'm looking at the same thing (except for the HOG). But I'm not gonna get rid of my Lowrider. The wife will have to wait until we can get the geezerglide in addition to my Dyna.
I hate the radios and antennae on the Classis and the UltraC. I'm thinking about putting the lower fairings, back trunk and passenger back rest, cruise control and ABS on a Electra Glide Standard and arrive at the same bike as the Ultra without the radios, CB and all that jazz. Plus I calculated that it would come out about $3500 cheaper than the Ultra. Will have to be black because the cool two-tone colors are not offered on the standard.
It will be a few months before I can save the okane (Japaanese for money) to do the deal but, I am patient.
Maybe the wife will ride more than 700 miles on a weekend then.
There is nothing saying you can't come back and talk on the dyna board though right? A bikes a bike. Enjoy your new ride when you purchase it. The radio will be nice lol.
