i finished putting everything back together after internal wiring. i have 2 problems. first, how much of a pain is it to replace the brake light switch, second , i have no front brake. i opened the resovior and it was full. i squeeze the lever and it goes all the way down with no resistance. i try to punp them and nothing. any advice would be appreciated.

No resistance at all? If there are no obviously huge leaks, I'd saythe master is bad. I've never been inside a Harley master cylinder but I imagineit has a piston like other MC's. Those pistons have seals that can go.

Did you change the brake lines or loosen the brake likes. I had changed my line in the front on both bikes and it took me a while to get it bleed. Remember, you have at least four pistons on the caliber.

The brakes are a bitch to bleed. I found the easiest way to do it is to invest $30.00 in a manual vacuum pump. Five minutes and they're bled.

Are you sure you brakelight switch is bad? If the retaining clip comes out, the switch will not be stationary enough to work. Also make sure the master cylinder clamp is seated properly where is meets the switch housing.

If both of these are good, the switch is $25.00 and easy to replace

Replacing the brake switch is easy to do. Just remember to have a business card, match book or something similar. You will need these
to hold your brake lever in just slightly so you do not break your switch again. From experience on doing this w/o card

The switch is easy to replace, like the others said watch the switch close or when you take the control apart pull the lever in then line everything up. The brakes,I just put new pads on my front caliper had the same problem, pull the lever in and zip tie it to the grip so it's pulled in and let it sit for a while the longer the better,I let mine sit over night. This trick I found in the do it yourself thread on here.
