I seen a denim black07 Night Train with a lighter gray flames on tank, looked good but seem like the bike was still missing something. I would do the front fender and tank, just my .02.

I’ve seen several that way.

 

do the whole bike, just showcase the tank and be conservative with the fenders. maybe have something under the flames, if you don't run badges on the tank.
i want to do somegrayish-silver ghost flames on my streetbob to tie in the brushed aluminum and chrome.

I would and am going to do all tins. Think it makes it flow a little better. JMO. Post pics when complete.

 

I should have the bike back in a few days. I will post pics when I get it back. I am having the tank done because you can't buff out a giant scratch on the denim paint...sucks, but I guess i wouldn't have flames if it didn't happen. I got a little nervous the other night though when a buddy mentioned that if i decide to have the fenders done later on, it would be difficult to match the paint.
