It looks good. How is the light at night any concerns? I also like the way you mounted it on.
Thanks Dom. I haven't ridden at night yet. In fact, I haven't ridden it at all since I installed the shocks last week. Been raining here for 3 days straight but I'm hopin for a spin this afternoon or tomorrow because I'm leaving Friday for a bike rally. However, in my shop, it seems to throw a good beam of light so I'm not too concerned about it. The previous light I had was made by the same company, just a little smaller, and I was happy with the light that one put out.
I just got my wide conversion kit in today
and was lookin at headlights since I am gonna dump the visor with the bottom mount trees. That one seems like a a pretty decent light for the $ I just ain't ready to drop 500 on a light just yet.
where did you get that kit? and what will it fit?
Here ya go: http://vulcanworks.net/39mm-Wide-Gli...ome-p-297.html
The chrome and overall quality looks good, we will see how well it fits when the headlight comes in thoI will put up a thread on the install when its finished.
Greg, I think I missed it somewhere along the way, but when did you change your tank badge? I love the basic badge you have on it now, looks great!
Jake, I bought the badges on ebay a couple of months ago but kept them in the console of my truck for weeks because I couldn't decide if I wanted to really change them or not. Part of me thought I was kind of taking away some of the bike's indentity by doing that. And, several people from here agreed with me on that. However, I just couldn't accept the stock badges totally. So, I changed them a few weeks ago. I posted a thread about it but it was probably when you were on your way home or had your mind "elsewhere" after you got home.
Appreciate the compliment. I really like them but I still have the originals just in case...
Famous last words but, I think I am done with changes for a while. I'll be getting a 180 rear tire sometime soon but that's mostly out of necessity. Everything else I'd like to do someday is just more than my wallet can stand right now. The only thing I'm really hating as it sits right now are the levers. They seem to have darkened with age and really stand out ugly between the chrome mirrors and T-bars. But I have no immediate plans to touch anything for a while.

Well, you're bike looks great. You don't have chrome levers do you? If not, try some never dull on them, see if that helps to clean them up.

Thanks. No I don't have chrome levers - they are stock. I may try some never dull but they'll still not be chrome. LOL
If I pick some up cheap and can install them with no trouble (don't know what's involved), then I may throw some on at some point. But, most everything else is major and will probably have to wait a while.
One of cleanest looking bikes in here! When you get a chance to test ride, let me know if the ride is much stiffer with the new shocks. I want to change my stock seat out for more of a long distance (touring) seat and I could use the extra 1/2", being inseam impaired (5'-8").
Finally got to make a test run today for a couple of hours. Shocks rode great and felt really solid through turns on the highway at speed. Allowed me to use counter steer and really hold a tight line through the corners. I did set them to the softest setting, though, and I did bottom out once when I went through a sunken area of pavement going about 25 mph in town. But, I weigh about 240 so that didn't surprise me. One click up to the next position and I should be fine.
