Default VRSC Wheels

Can anyone verify if the rear wheels from the vrod will fit the rear of a 2007 dyna?

From what I have read the front will fit and dual brakes can be added if the vrod lowers are swapped. But, I have not read anything about the rear wheels.

I think that these wheels from HD would look sharp on an FXDB.

The front fit because both Dyna and Vrod use a 19" front rim, but the rear of a Dyna uses 17" and a Vrod is a 240mm 18" rim. Dynas 17" rim makes it very limited to what you can use, the Deuce wheel is an option, because it is also 17".

Man I should have caught that. I saw that the '06 vrod had an 18" 180mm and thought these were too. Now I see that the night rod and this rear wheel have the 240mm tire .

So, how about the solid and slotted disks with the 18" and 180mm from the vrods? Just looking for wheel options.

ctanders,
I started researching the same questions yesterday.
According to my research the largest rear tire that can be fitted on a FXD/B/L
is 180/55-18 without modification to the m/c is the rear tire for a V-rod. This begs
the question why can't a 06 V-rod wheel be fitted on a Dyna as the axles are 1".
Is the rear pulley for the Dyna and V-rod the same?
Let me know if you find out anything.

This afternoon I may look at Hogpro; they have some packages for adyna.

The VRSD Nightrod uses a 180 rear tyre, but don't know if the wheel fits.If the wheel/pulley would fit it my be a way into an IDS the Rods use a version ofthe IDSbut they call it a cushdrive.

OK, if the VRSC and Dyna use the same wheel install kit, then shouldn't the hub axle width be the same?

43861-08

1" Axle - Rear - Fits '02-'07 VRSC™ models, '05-'07 XL models, '06-'07 Dyna® models, and '02-'07 Touring models.

If so, then all that would be needed is to fit the pulley and rotor.

And, there is a setup for a 180mm tire.
43635-08

18" Rear (180/55 Tire)

Thanks for helping.

CT, the Vrod uses a 18" tire and the 07Dynas use a 17" rear tire. It might or might not fit, but at the very least I would think it would throw your Speedo off.

The VROD uses a 180/55R18
The Dyna uses a 160/70R17

According to the info on the Dunlop tire site, both tires are a diamter of 25.8 inches.

So the tires are lower profile on the VROD, but should fit like the wide tire kit for dynas.

the wheel diameter will not matter. a different sized sidewall will be utilized on the tires to make the overall diameter of the wheel and tire the same or virtually so(jake in iraq has a 18 inch aftermarket wheel) ... the problem lies in the width of the wheel and the ability for the dyna to accept only a 180 tire.
