79 shoval clutch

I have a 79 FXE that I bought in 1980.Well I am getting older and my left hand is getting some arthritis in it.Its beginning to be a real pain to pull that clutch lever.Is there any thing to do ( to the clutch)that will make it easier to pull.

most likely your gonna have to go with an aftermarket set up. Barnett may have something for ya. That's about all I know, they'renotthe lightest clutches to pull are they?

Thanks for reply,yep its not a easy pull anymore.These bikes have worn out my right knee and now my hand I guess.I'll ride until I can't anymore but that should be a few years down the road.

I went with the BDL clutch and belt drive on my 70 shovel. The diff is unbelievable. Very easy to pull and NEVER slips or drags. It is adjustable for pressure if your bike is built just by adding more springs that come with the setup. JIREH cycle for $459.00. They also have chain drive version but were backordered when I got mine so went with belt.
