Its not rubber its leather, the fender is narrower than the tyre, so its to stop the road spray and stones hamering the fornt of the engine and chin spoiler. No water on the ground as it was actual a dry day for once.

plan for the rear is to cut off the rear fender supports as the new tyre is to wide to fit. Then Going to convert a stock 9" smooth saber style fender to strutless. The rear lights are goingto be home made led and set along the edge of the fender. With the legal size stop and tail down the side on top of a side mount license plate. Cant buy a side mount as they dont fit my JMC swing arm so will be fabing that out of billet ally as well.
