Corbin Customer Service?
I'm having a hard time understanding why a company who sells a good (and expensive)product, has awful customer service and hard to get a response once you purchase the product.
Lost the keys to the lock on my Corbin Solo seat. Have tried on and off emailing and phone calls for quit some time, (2 months) when finally getting someone at Corbin to respond (through email, seems every time I talked to someone, they had no clue what I was talking about) and sell me a new lock. I call the guy who finally understands what I am looking for, he tells me he is transferring me to sales, and they will take care of me. I'm told it's about $15, no big deal, I order it.
I finally get the lock, I'm happy, sit it aside for about a week, (busy) and when I go to put it on, it's not the right one, (I gave them the Model #, inscribed on the bottom of the seat, they did it, they should know their products).
I take pictures of both locks, side by side, assembled and disassembled. Send numerous emails to the Corbin site, explaining why it won't work, showing it in the pictures, then also copying the the rep who helped me out, and no response for literally weeks.
I actually thought, with the money spent, maybe they realized they had made a mistake and sent me a new one in the mail. ( I may have been a comedian in my past life...)
I think I have been fairly patient, this all started back in November searching for the lock and or new keys.
My guess is, once you buy the "expensive" product, they don't need you anymore....
Anyone else experience this from them? Or is it just me?
OK, thanks, I'm done venting.....
I think that is an oxymoron if I ever heard one.....corbin customer service....too funny. Way back when they were a small company trying to get started they had good customer service....but now they think they have a lock on the market they feel they can charge what they want and people will pay it and be happy with the fact they got over charged by people that could care less about them......for me....I will never own another corbin when there are so many other good manufacturers out there. Little name tags on the side of the seat dont impress me.
What some of these companies have not yet realized, many years ago, you could screw many people, while only having word of mouth passing on the bad news. This was slow, and died fairly quickly after time.
Now, with the internet, (Al Gore's invention), word gets out quick and to all corners of the country, if not around the world.
I just figured I'd tell my story, maybe they will care and respond. If not, you're right, there are many manufacturers out there with great products. I foresee about 4 -5 more bikes in my life which will need seats, I'll know where not to shop...
Last year my corbin needed new hardware front and back and the rivets. They responded the next day and sent me two copies of each for free. Email either of these nice folk, janice@mike-corbin.comor johnm@corbin.com.

I copied both addresses above with past emails.
I'll give them a chance to respond and report back, But the guyI have been writting is Micheal A., and the Corbin website.
It's not the money, hell, $15 is just about nothing. It's the point of responding to customers needs.
They're without a doubt, the worst I've ever tried to work with. Once they ship your purchased product, you're dead meat.
My story is longer than I care to type out here, but needless to say, once I get everything ironed out, I'll never make another purchase from Corbin nor will I even recommend them to my worst enemy.

i ordered a seat last month and have had no success in getting a reply to my inquiries as to where my seat is in the manufacturing process. They do not answer emails unless it is to place an order. They have charged my credit card, so I can only hope the seat arrives in the next week or so.People love their seats, but their customer service sucks!
Same experience as"07 StreetBob"... and others...I will NEVER buy a Corbin product again.
I don't even want to see their booth at a rally because I am afraid I might lose it ...and punch the Corbin representative. The seat I received was POS! They are not high quality. The way I was spoken to by Corbin Customer Service was unbelievable. They are damn luckyI live in GA and they are in CA.
I opened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in CA, turns out the are familiar with Corbin.
