for 2006 Low Rider. I haven't been able to locate these. It seems like they go up to '05 and none are available for the '06. Would someone be kind enough to check behind me and see if I have had a senior moment or if they are truly not available. Thanks.
After a real quick search I found something at Dennis Kirk. They fit a 2006 FXDL I - for the life of me I can't imagine that they wouldn't work, if the rake is what you want.
Actually, I didn't search aftermarket. I looked in the HD P&A catalog I downloaded. I just thought maybe I missed them somehow. I can't imagine why they haven't made a chrome triple tree by now for 49mm 2006 and up Dyna's. I wanted stock replacement. Rake on Dennis Kirk trees is not recommended for a stock frame. It's been 2 years now, the '09's are about to be unveiledand a lot of parts and accessories for Dyna's stop at 2005. It's like the '06 to '08 doesn't exist yet. Even the wheels are either available in front or rear only but not both because of the changes in axle size after 2005. I guess I would have to take the stock triple off and not ride until it was chromed or trade the 2006 in for a 2005. Looks like I'll have to wait a few more years for HD to catch up on accessories for the '06 Dynas.
LOL, the list of parts not working just got worse in 07, they added that saftey switch to the clutch and added $400 to the price of the chrome hand controls for that little addition. Not only that but I have still yet to find and aftermarket replacement for this.
At least the chrome on the handlebar is available for '06. But, I can't really see chroming out the handlebar when the triple tree and risers are dulling out and are going to require some major polishing after only 1 1/2 years. Some things done by HD just don't make good sense to the customer.
One of my brothers has an 06 wide glide that is chromed out including the triple tree and risers... forget about the catalog, talk to the parts guy or service guy and your dealership if you want OEM parts.
They are available for the wide glide. But they are not available for the standard narrow glide FXDL, FXD, FXDC or FXDB past '05 when the forks were changed to 49mm.

Buythe stock treesfrom someone that has converted their 06-up Dynato WG trees and send those out to be chromed. A few folks here have made the swap, plus there's always ebay.

Thanks Redbeard. I thought of that earlier but, it still begs the question of why is HD so inconsistent with P&A's. It's like they make things at random and if they didn't throw the dart in the year and model of your particular bike you're SOL. Maybe I'm too organized but, I can't think of a goodreason for the manner in which they offer P&A's.
