The wide glide conversion only increases the rake of a low rider 1/2 degrees. I have heard that will lower the front of the bike approx 1/4" . Is this true?
The figure I have read says each degree increase in the rake will lower the front .2". I found this accurate when I put a Low Rider front end on my Super Glide increasing the rake by 1.5 degrees.
Have you tried the rake and trail calculator? You can get most of the specs of your bike from the HD website. You might have to get the tape measure out for the rest. Here's a link to the calculator.
I think it must depend on the year. The stock triple trees I took off my 01 low rider had no rake built into them, all the rake was in the neck post. That may have changed on the newer bikes tho.
