Man, It's been quite a while since I've posted; lots of new members (and I see we lost a few valued brothers recently)
Thought I'd take a moment to post a pic of my 2006 FXDBI after my winter modifications. I had over 50 parts powder coated, added a set of stealth rear signals (bagger marker lights, pic to follow) anda Corbin Stinger saddle. If you have ever had the pleasure of sitting on a Corbin, you know why I'm sold!
For you new members, my bike has over 20,000 miles (8 miles a day on limestone gravel) and has never been back to the dealer. I typically log over 400 miles a weekend and it never misses a beat!
Any of you folks hail from the Texas Panhandle?
I'm going to take a plant manager position at a facilty between Amarillo and Lubbock this Summer. I've been down there many times; great people! - the biggest difference I see between SW Iowa and the NW Texas isthe lack of trees. I really like the Boys Ranch area between Amarillo and Dalhart (my futurehome) and look forward to exploring Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. I'll gain a few months of riding time anyway...definetly a plus!
Been traving quite a bit this winter; I visit THE forum on a regular basis via Kiev,Ukraine, Gent, Belgium, Krefield, Germany, Amstrerdam, Netherlands... - lookin' forward to being in the good ole USA for the next couple years. I saw one scooter in Kiev and there are no HD dealerships there(which I can understand after witnessing the local traffic!)
Still need to hear from someone from the Texas Panhandle - starting to get nervous here! Perhaps I should post on the general forum?
